Al’s fight against lung cancer

Hello friends, family, and everyone reading. 

My name is Alfonso Cantu Jr., but you might know me as Al, Crazy Al, or Can2000. 

As a lifelong Houston native, I have always been active in my local community. I support small businesses, entrepreneurs, and campaigns for those in public service who aim to benefit underrepresented communities. 

I have raised a wonderful family — 5 children, many grandchildren, and even some great grandchildren. Supporting my family and community has always been important in my life. 

Today, I am humbly asking for your support. 

Last year during the holidays, I was unexpectedly diagnosed with lung cancer. 

With encouragement and optimism, I began chemotherapy and radiation treatments at the beginning of the year. These treatments are expected to continue for several months. As you may know, these treatments can become costly. 

This fundraiser, with the support of my loving family, has been set up to seek assistance with these medical expenses. 

With your help, I can continue my treatments and receive the necessary care to tackle this cancer. I am determined to beat this, but I will need the support of those around me.
