Help Fund an Aspiring Latina Physician

Hi! My name is Ariana Carranza, I recently graduated from Barnard College, Class of 2022, and I am on the path of pursuing a medical degree. I am a low-income first-generation college graduate with a passion for medicine. As an immigrant who experienced language barriers in healthcare at a young age, I strive to become a physician that prioritizes patient-doctor interactions, believing in the power of cultural understanding and communication in providing holistic healthcare. I am determined to ensure that my future patients never feel like their quality of care is ever affected by their identity, culture, or language.
The application process for medical school is not only long but very costly, with many low-income students being discouraged from applying to many schools or from the application process and career altogether. I created this gofundme to assist with the application fees ($100-$145 each) for the 20+ medical schools I am applying to. Any help is deeply appreciated. Thank you for your support.
