HELP FUND BLUSD's SUMMER BLUES CAMP!

Blues Lovers United of San Diego is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization. We offer a yearly week-long Blues Music Summer Camp for teenagers. Our Fundraiser is to provide scholarships for low-income families, instrument donations to students and assist in the running costs of the Camp.

Under the guidance of professional local San Diego Blues Musicians, 25 participants learn the instrument of their choice – Drums, Bass, Guitar, Keys, Harmonica and Vocals. BLUSD.ORG has been offering this opportunity for 12 years and many of our participants return for several years in a row. Some are now professional musicians! The program culminates in a public concert presenting the great benefit and skills acquired by the students. They love it!

One student last year said the only bad thing that happened was he could not come for one day! Another told us she finally gained confidence to sing on stage and this meant the world to her. Almost all of them mention the joy they feel playing on stage and sharing time with the professional musicians.
