Help Fund Dan's Surgery

Friends, we need your help.

Over this past weekend, UPLIFT's Studio Manager and Recovery Specialist, Dan, was randomly targeted and viciously attacked by a gang of men while he was alone and walking home from downtown Saratoga Springs.

Completely blindsided, they not only managed to cause multiple lacerations and bruises to his head, causing immense swelling, but they also broke a bone in his throat (the hyoid).

Dan will now need surgery so he does not have future complications arise. This requires a long recovery.

The amount of hatred this malicious attack took is overwhelmingly sickening and makes me want to lose faith in humanity. Dan is one of the most genuine, caring and good-hearted souls I know.

All donations are meant to help with the many out-of-pocket expenses that Dan and his fiance, Ashley, will accrue over this lengthy timeline.

My name is Jared Mousseau and I'm the owner of UPLIFT, a gym in Latham, where Daniel Safford works. I'm organizing this fundraiser on his behalf, and he'll be the sole beneficiary (as set up via GoFundMe) of the donations gathered.

These funds will be used to cover the hospital bills and related medical expenses from his brutal attack (occurred Sat, July 22nd at 2:00 am) that Dan will inevitably accrue in the coming weeks and months.
