Checklist - Support the Movie!

By supporting this fundraiser you will support aspiring film makers and actors in creation of the movie Checklist. The making of this film have been relying on the energy, free time and equipment from enthusiasts. None of who have expected anything in return.

Through this fundraiser the production team aim to give back - First, by doing everything we can to get this movie distributed (applications to film festivals etc) to secure visibility of all the talented people involved to help open doors for opportunities. Secondly, donations will give smaller tokens to crew members that have lent equipment and tools for this project (something that normally come at a high cost to rent). Third, some smaller post-production costs will be covered (color grading, sound & music).

The story of Checklist starts a couple of years ago when Chantale & Nikhil both went to the same film production class called Filmplats. Since, they have made smaller projects individually and together. In 2023 they decided to take the leap to doing a full film together. The manuscript and filming was conducted in 2023 and the film is now in post-production with the intent to premiere it mid-June 2024.

Inspiration to the movie has come from observations from their own lives where they have found a fascination for the knots that people can get tie themselves into while trying to help others. We get to follow a week of Klara’s life where she tries to be there for friends, family and strangers without any thought of herself. The movie is inspired by movies such as Hannah takes the stairs, Ladybird, Världens värsta människa, and the series Girls, where we follow young adults in the journey of finding their voices.

Throughout the production journey the cast and crew have worked with passion to make this project happen and Nikhil and Chantale continue to express their gratitude to all the people involved who have helped them make this a reality.
