Long-Term Care / Help for Lucy Cui

Donation protected

Our Uncle, PO2 Aurelio Bamba Cui, USN (Ret.)
passed away last night (5/17/17).  He was a Vietnam and Korean War Veteran.  Aurelio was a member of Fleet Reserve Chapter #50 and a 2nd Head Deacon of Church of Christ (Iglesia Ni Cristo) in North Charleston.
He was the Main care giver of his wife of 40  years, Lucy B. Cui.   When Uncle went in for an "in and out procedure", it ended up being more than just that.  Uncle and I exchanged love and words, "See you when you get out and I love you".  Then he was on his way, with a smile,  to surgery.

I received a call a few hours later.  What was supposed to be a same day procedure, led to a triple bypass then it led to more complications that just didn't make any sense.  I am overwhelmed with  all that is happening right now and realize that in the long term, Lucy is going to need 24/7 care.  She just cannot be left alone.  She can barely take care of herself.

I have exhausted all the care I can find out there. I am still trying with the VA. I tried my best taking care of her and was not able to be there 24/7.  As for now she is in a Health Care Center but her insurance will only cover "so many days".  I am asking, on her behalf, for your help because I do not know what else to do.  Thank you and thank you all for your kindness!  Please pass this along.
Update 5/30/17:
Unfortunately, Uncle Aurelio did not have an SBP.  We are still continuing in seeking long-term care and also waiting on Medicaid. (it's a long process) Thank you, on behalf of the Cui Family, for your support in helping our Aunt Lucy.
