Help fund grad film Bad Habit
A message from our writer/director Charlotte White
A few years ago when I decided to start taking my filmmaking and career seriously, I set myself a goal: to improve on my writing and to tell stories that actually matter. Now I'm sitting here with a fully completed, original, hilarious, and important screenplay that I have poured my everything into and am so incredibly proud of.
However, now I am turning to you. Whether you do or don't know me, I ask you to be apart of this with us, something so uniquely special. As a crew we are dedicated to this story, its relevance amongst modern audiences and its universal message of inclusivity and validation.
After a crazy script development and Greenlight process, I'm extremely proud to announce that this film is so close to being taken from paper to screen, there's just one last stepping stone before production can begin in October. Please help us reach our budget goal of $11,000 to bring this important story to life.
Costs will be going directly to paying artists and actors, hiring locations, camera and lighting equipment, production design, catering, travel costs etc.
Those who donate will automatically receive a name credit at the end of the film under "This film would not be possible without".
Synopsis:
The year is 1974 and new novice nun Tilly just wants to fit in at Melbourne convent; Our Lady of Good Worship. As impure thoughts and feelings continue to invade her psyche and weigh on her moral compass, Tilly meets the beautiful and charismatic Sister Veronica. Little do they know it’s not only God that’s watching - it’s the sadistic, power-mongering Sister Hilda who is being extremely hard on donation quotas this year. To relieve day-to-day pressures, the nuns regularly venture down to the church basement for a cheeky game of Texas Hold Em’. With tensions at an all time high at the convent and around the poker table, Our Lady of Good Worship is a powder keg waiting to implode.
Thank you so much!
