Our close friends, including two of our housemates, were innocent victims of random gun violence near the University of Washington campus last night and required immediate surgeries, resulting in very high medical bills. Thankfully, our friends are making incredible progress in their recovery journey, and we have gotten word from medical professionals that they will all be okay. We ask if the UW community, as well as anyone you may know, can donate to ease the stress of their medical expenses and lift this burden off the shoulders of them and their families, as they had no responsibility or reason to be put in this position. With the funds raised, we plan to pay for overwhelming hospital bills, physical therapy, and the medication our friends need.
