Kate Heron Music Vid Crowdfund

~ I was unfortunately not chosen for any grants / artist things I applied for last year so I’m fundraising my own? all of this money is to go towards funding a special music video this year to reimburse costs. - if you donate I will send you a thank you note and KH stickers! <33

I am letting go of some stubbornness to share this gofundme link for a special music vid- in years past I just drained my account to fund my music - it’s always worth it music wise - especially this annual video in particular. (5th year in a row bb!) And it can make some wonderful things happen. Like playing a show last year for NPR I would’ve never dreamed of. But also, I’ve been finding a balance of self preservation instead of the previous- 99% music / 1% myself :)

if you choose to support even in a small way (5$ or something small) it mentally makes a huge difference just to like- keep on the path even though I have to adventure for funds- as someone said recently “the world will catch up”

estimated cost breakdown covers:

-paying my bandmembers for rehearsal and shoot time (there are 6 of us )

-audio rentals

-space rental

-videographer

-audio engineer

Also- if you are one of the people wondering why I haven’t released music yet- this would be why- I’m applying to grants as much as I can and want to do it right in the sense of - a quality of recording I’m proud of, paying studio musicians, etc. And right now- I am just a free floating independent musician.
