Help Fund Madelynn's Service Dog

Hi, I'm Madelynn and this is a fundraiser to help fund my service dog goals.

I had a stroke due to my AVM (Arteriovenous malformations) in the brain, which I was born with. The AVM rupture left me with aphasia, my verbal talking expressions are limited, and right hemiparesis - which means my right side is extremely affected. I don’t have full control of my right arm and no control of my right fingers. But it does not stop there, I have challenges with walking mobility too; balance, unsteady walking, and distances.

Although I had a stroke, my dreams remained the same. I desire to have a grand adventure; visiting national parks, national forests, and state parks. But it’s not about visiting beautiful places, but also taking pictures and hiking.

They also help me with aphasia, when I get frustrated, they can put their head on me and distract me.

These are just a few. My dog will come from SIT Service Dogs, where they breed and rescue Labrador Retrievers and Labrador Retrievers Mixes.

I’m asking for $25,235 because the dog itself will cost $20,000, dog graduation will cost $2,500, the gear- harness- being $735 (BLD’s Mobility Support Harness (MSH)), goggles, coat, booties, etc.. will cost around $2,000.
