Help Fund Mitch Irzinski's Final Curtain Call!!

Hi! We are Emily and Kelly Canavan, friends and collaborators with Mitch Irzinski for the last decade.

Emily and Mitch became friends in 2015 as members of the ensemble cast of MacWHAT?? Later that year, Kelly and Mitch starred together in Glory Us, which Emily directed and its been a whole lotta theater mix, rinse and repeat since then.

Mitch has been a staple in the DMV theater community for decades - long before he teamed up with his partner - the love of his life - Kiki/Kisha 14 years ago. We are reaching out to the DMV theater community and to Mitch and Kiki's friends to help her cover his final expenses, financial obligations and plan a memorial where we can all come together and celebrate Mitch's life.

Mitch passed away on 11/7/24 in Virginia, where laws about deceased individuals are strict. Kisha has until 11/17/24 to have his remains cremated or else his body will be disposed of by the state. This is a harsh reality, but one we don't want her to face alone. Please contribute what you can to take some of the enormous burden off of her.

Mitch is survived by his father, Stanley, and brother, Scott, both of whom he cared for - even ordering their groceries from his own chemotherapy treatments. Stanley called Mitch his angel.

Not only is Kisha left to put Mitch's affairs in order and plan his final curtain call, she also told Mitch she would help care for his father and Scott - who has special needs and will need long-term care.

All money contributed will go directly to Kisha to help pay for Mitch's cremation, memorial, final expenses, and family obligations. We really appreciate your generosity.
