Help Fund My Film - The Rent Is Too Damn High

The rents are too damn high in America, from New York City to Los Angeles. If you are having trouble paying the rent, you may have watched your American Dream evaporate in front of your very eyes.

I spent more than 10 years as a housing activist, and was inspired to make a film about the absurd rental increases I had seen and heard about across the country.

Five years ago, I started "The Rent Is Too Damn High," interviewing tenants in New York City and researching the legislative history that led us to the rental crisis. Now, I am ready to complete this film - with your help.

To finish this film, I'll need funding to edit, produce, and distribute it. I already have editors lined up and ready to get to work. Once released, "The Rent Is Too Damn High" will be a tool towards inspiring new housing legislation to provide relief to financially stressed tenants and change our country's housing laws.

So far, I've funded this film out of my personal expenses, paying for transportation and other costs. I've interviewed dozens of renters in NYC about how their rents have skyrocketed. Even if you don't have any money to spare, please share this fundraiser and get the word out.
