Help Fund My Tooth Fix
Donation protected
As a kid I chipped my front tooth and had a root canal done. However, in the last 30 years, this has chipped again and eventually, my tooth chipped in half last week. It's going to cost 3,000 dollars to fix it. I have dental insurance, but it doesn't cover any of this.
I'm an adjunct at CUNY -- which means I get paid low wages for the same work as full timers. I didn't get a Summer I job, which means that I won't get paid again until July and I don't have the money to get my tooth fixed and pay for rent and life over the next month.
It's no coincidence that CUNY refuses to pay adjuncts a real living wage and instead spends money on "public safety" to harass those of us fighting against genocide, apartheid and settler colonialism. It's no coincidence that we live in a country where there is so much money to send for genocide, for the military-industrial complex but no free, public healthcare. This is the system we are fighting so hard to change.
If anyone has a few bucks to spare, I'm hoping some folks can chip in to help me out.
PS: Yes, my chipped tooth face is funny. You can laugh. But also help me out!
