Help Fund Pastor Rex Johnson's Medical Expenses

Hello my name is Clinton Reeser and a dear friend of mine is currently in need as he is facing unforeseen medical expenses. Pastor Rex Johnson is not only a friend but a brother in Christ. He has always been someone who would lend a helping hand to those in need. Rex is one who would never ask for anything but I feel as though his faithful generosity to his church and community over the years makes him a qualified candidate.

The events that lead to this fundraiser are as follow:

On February 6, 2024, Pastor Rex Johnson suffered a massive heart attack at a local hospital while awaiting a routine medical procedure. After being transported to Johnson City Medical Center he coded in the Cath Lab and life saving measures were taken to save his life. Unfortunately, his heart has sustained substantial damage due to the heart attack. On February 22, 2024, after exhausting all options at Johnson City Medical Center, Rex was transferred to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN where he remains today. The medical staff at Vanderbilt have been considering the best options of care for Pastor Rex including the possibility of a heart transplant or an LVAD (Left Ventricle Assisted Device).

Whichever option they choose most suitable for him will be extremely costly. The family has been encouraged by the social work team at Vanderbilt to fund raise to cover not only the cost of the organ transplant or device, but for cost-of-living expenses, gas, lodging, etc. Regardless of the option chosen, Brother Rex will be required to live in Nashville a minimum of 12 weeks with two care givers with him at all times. Any donations will be greatly appreciated to offset these costs for not only Rex’s healthcare, but also expenses incurred due to his illness. If you are unable to donate at this time, I ask that you lift him up in prayer as he continues to fight.
