Help fund Tewy's first music video!

About the Project...

The music video is going to be a warm, lighthearted 90's themed silent disco where two party-goers lock eyes... and, of course, fall in love. While they attempt to awkwardly get each other's attention, the video will intercut to their inner-fantasy perspective, where they share an intimate dance with one another. This is a project about getting back into the world and finding those in-person connections we've been craving for the past year.

What we need the money for...

This video is entirely self-funded by Tewy, but we are a couple grand short of our ideal budget. The money will be going towards our hard-working crew, our amazingly talented dancers, the cost of renting our location space, and getting the proper equipment we need. This is where I need your help! Any donation would be an immense help in getting this project created and not only that but also helping a group of young artists grow in their careers.

"I’m so excited to collaborate with Tewy on his first music video. This project will be a celebration of being together again. Dancing. Touching. Kissing (Spoiler alert!) Everything we couldn’t do before.

This love story will bring us back to the early 2000s - a little corny, charming, dreamlike, but also real. We’ve all been at a party where you make eye contact with someone and you don’t want to lose it. You wonder if they feel whatever you’re feeling too. Do I go for it? Risk it all? Or play it safe, maybe I’ll see them again. This song is about wanting someone so badly you don’t know how to be cool about it. It’s about forgetting how to normally interact with people - if some of us even knew how to before. It’s about overthinking everything and then shooting your shot...or at least attempting to. And it’s a bit of a fantasy.

I grew up watching late 90s/early 2000s rom coms. During this past gloomy and uncertain year, I spent a lot of time rewatching these nostalgic movies, looking for the reassurance of knowing how something is going to end. From style icons to legendary dance moves, you will see some of my greatest influences woven into this music video.

Lastly, you will see Tewy’s magnetic energy and passion for spreading good vibes into the world. I know he’s just getting started and can’t wait for you all to be on this journey with us."

"The Greatest" is a song about taking advantage of that defining moment. In this case, it's taking a chance and risking it all to be with that one person you've always wanted to be with, but I think the sentiment really translates to anything in life that you're pursuing. Sometimes you just gotta say, "fuck it" and go for it.
