Help Fund the John T. Osborne Memorial Scholarship

Hello, Music Friends!! This GoFundMe is being created to raise funds for a music scholarship to honor of our dear friend, John T. Osborne (whom we lost in early 2025).

John was a constant presence in the world of live music, always seeking new sounds, admiring fresh talent, and supporting the artists he loved. His passion for music was more than just a hobby; it was his heart and soul.

John’s love for music was unparalleled, and it was reflected in every show he attended, and what seemed to be almost every conversation he had. His enthusiasm was contagious, and his smile was the kind that could light up a room. If you ever crossed paths with John, you undoubtedly felt the joy and energy he carried with him. He had an incredible gift for making people feel welcome, valued, and happy. His presence was a true blessing to everyone he encountered.

To honor John’s memory, we’re proud to announce the creation of the John T. Osborne Memorial Scholarship. The best way we can think to carry forward his love for music is by giving a young, aspiring musician the opportunity to experience something truly special: The Woodshed Guitar Experience in Crossville, TN.

Andy Wood, (visionary of The Woodshed Guitar Experience) in conjunction with Chasing Phoenix Band (Ronnie Williams & Zee Phoenix), are looking to provide a once in a lifetime opportunity to attend The Woodshed Guitar Experience as the recipient of the John T Osborne Memorial Scholarship. The Woodshed Guitar Experience offers a 3-night transformative experience for guitar players of all levels with opportunities to jam, create, and learn from some of the most talented artists in the music industry. John would have been so proud to know that his name will be associated with an experience that inspires and educates the next generation of musicians.

THIS IS WHERE YOU COME IN! If you would like to help sponsor a child in John’s honor, donations are welcome. Every dollar helps. Chasing Phoenix Band is also offering John T. Osborne custom hats and bags (if you know John, you KNOW how he loved his bags). All proceeds go directly to the scholarship fund.

John’s legacy is one of positivity, joy, and a love for music that touched everyone he met. As we raise funds to support this scholarship, we do so with the knowledge that we are honoring him in the best way possible—by giving future musicians the chance to live out their dreams.
