Please support the Merced County Nut Festival
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Necola Adams. I am the founder and president of the Merced County Nut Festival. This festival began as a way to bring our community together in the spirit of unity during a time of division. It is also a way of celebrating the industry that touches our entire county while celebrating its rich diversity.
We have never charged an entry fee to attend this event, and all the funds we make through the sales of T-shirts along with the hats go back into the community to organizations who work with our youth ages 13-17 years of age through educational and arts programs. The board and I are all volunteers.
By the end of September, we usually have met our funding goals from the amazing sponsors in our city, advertisements, and vendor fees, but this year was met with challenges. In May, a driver ran a stop sign and I was injured. Then, a month and 9 days later, I was rammed by a hit-and-run driver in a truck that left me with a severe concussion. Both of these incidents left me unable to drive or have the ability to go out and get the funds needed. This is why I am reaching out for help. We have a shortfall of $4,495, and need these funds in order to pay for this event. I have donated to others' GoFundMe pages, and I am hoping that the support I have given out will somehow come back full circle.
By the way, we are a 501c3, which means your donation is tax-deductible.
