Help Fund The Mourning After: A short film about suicide.

The Mourning After is a short, narrative film about a suicidal Lyft driver giving a suicidal stranger he picks up from the emergency room the help he didn't have the night before when he also attempted suicide. He finds the help he himself needs by helping a stranger in need.

Supporting this project helps fund a creative expression of art that will help raise awareness on the difficult topic of suicide. We all have been affected by suicide in one way or another, and the more we normalize talking about it, the more lives we can possibly save.

Having lost a few friends to suicide and depression, my goal is to create a dramatic piece that will not only entertain but also raise awareness on the taboo topic of suicide. Suicide and depression are more prevalent than society would like to admit, and raising awareness can save many lives.
