Help fund the wood Street commons community 3rd annual bike
Donation protected
Hi, my name is John Janosko and I am one of the Wood Street Commons community organizers. We are happy to announce that we are getting ready to go on our 3rd annual bike ride from Oakland to Sacramento from October 4 through October 7. We are raising money to support this event and to ensure that everyone who wants to can participate.
The money raised will support gas for support vehicles, food and water, bike supplies, camping supplies, T-shirts for all riders, promotional flyers, the rental van, camping costs, and five-gallon propane tanks. This event is for the whole community, you do not have to ride the whole way to be a part of it. We would love people to come along as time permits for them. You can stay and camp out at the halfway mark. You could come join us the second day on the second half of the ride, you can join from any place along the bike route you choose. Bike route to be announced!
This is also a bike ride for housing. Bringing awareness and hopefully talking to our governor Gavin Newsom on Monday, the 7th of October, about solutions the unhoused community has. There are also other organizations walking from different cities up to Sacramento that same week to meet and hopefully make a difference in California for the unhoused community. So donate today and be a part of the fun and a part of the solution. We have just extended the fundraiser. There are things / supplies that we thought by now would have been donated but haven't. We want to make sure everyone can go . We are still need to raise a little more for tents, sleeping bags, flashlights, propane tanks, one support vehicle and campground fees. Thanks
