Help fund Tina D'Elia's magical Solo Show!

Dramaturgy work today and first rehearsal November 6th!
I'm $1,044 away from meeting my goal! Thank you for donors so I can pay my artists and the Brava Theater!
I'm Tina D'Elia, a Mixed-Race Latina lesbian/queer Solo Performer, Writer, Actor, and Producer in the Bay Area.

I'm excited to premiere my solo show "The Break Up! A Latina Queer Torch Song" Directed by Mary Guzmán & Developed with David Ford at the Brava Theater in San Francisco this December 6-15, 2024.

I'm honored to share this 5th solo show that I've been developing for the last 4 years with the incredible David Ford, dramaturg and solo performance teacher, and my director Mary Guzmán.

The solo show synopsis: Trina Maria thought she met the rom com movie Butch Latina of her dreams. Seeking heartbreak relief she trudges up a steep hill to a mystical “break-up” support group of queer misfits.

This loony tunes drama-comedy is about healing from heartbreak with community enwrapped in a world of magical realism. All of my shows are fictional and I play all the characters including 2 cats. Some people are pet lovers and some folks are cat allies.

For the next several months I will be working with my director, dramaturg, costuming, and working with the Brava theater to present the west coast/world premiere of my one-woman show.

Every ounce of support and donation helps this production succeed. My biggest bill is over $9,300 to work with the theater company, my other bills are the artists fees to pay my director, dramaturg, videographer, and costume designer which range from $500-$2000.

The dates of the shows are: December 6, 7, 8, 13, 14, 15. All the ticket sales support me as the artist, no one is turned away for lack of funds because I believe in theater being accessible. Any amount of support means the world to me and this production.

It takes a community, a village, and an incredible team to make this happen. So I truly thank you for $5.00, purchasing a ticket, or making a donation towards 'helping Tina pay her director'. As Paulo Coelho says 'Love is the force that transforms and improves the Soul of the world'. Thank you for supporting my labor of love that I am thrilled and moved to share with all of you.
