Help fund Tina’s medical expenses
Donation protected
Tina Joye (15 yr) at only one month old, was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis. A chronic life threatening disease that affects the lungs, digestive system, pancreas and other organs. One of the many symptoms of this disease is frequent respiratory infections. Throughout her life, Tina has spent countless hours of therapy and treatments. She has endured lengthy hospital stays over the years. Frequent check ups and visits to her doctor's to be poked and prodded monthly.
Despite all of our efforts to keep her healthy, Cystic Fibrosis does not play fair.
Tina is back in the hospital at this time battling another infection. She will undergo surgery during this admission and will be staying longer for recovery. She will also need a special treatment called Phage Therapy. Phage therapy is the use of a phage or virus that specifically targets bacteria to treat bacterial infections. This therapy is extremely expensive and time consuming. On top of this unexpected medical bill, the cost of transportation, food, and her parents missing work to be with her is weighing hard. Tina is only one of 5 children, her mom is unable to work at this time while she’s managing the home, driving children to and from school, and being with Tina. A one income home is hard enough as it is.
If anyone is able to help in funding the Phage therapy and the costs of living to provide some comfort during this time we would appreciate any and all donations.
