Volunteers For Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico was hit with the devastating catergory 5 hurricane Maria over a month ago and a large portion of the island is still without clean running water or electricity.
Many Puerto Ricans have run out of food and water and with no help from the federal government along with the local governments being overwhelmed, it is up to those of us in the Diaspora and allies to help our brothers and sisters in the island.
All proceeds from this GoFundMe, will help 3 members of the Philadelphia grassroots team, Voces Del Barrio, travel to Puerto Rico during the last week of November and hand deliver much needed supplies and food that was collected to communities in Puerto Rico.
We plan to deliver donated items including:
*dry foods/baby food
*water filter/purifers
*feminine products
*first aid items
*batteries
The proceeds of this GoFundMe will cover our roundtrip travel costs to Puerto Rico from Philadelphia, car rental, and funds for addition purchases of supplies for families on the island.
