Help Fund Youthphoria Photo Sessions

Youthphoria is an ongoing project dedicated to photographing trans, nonbinary, and gender nonconforming youth at no cost in the Greater Philadelphia area, while providing an affirming experience that celebrates them along the way. Photo sessions can bring about a lot of anxiety for anyone, especially folks who are experiencing gender dysphoria.⠀

Participants will be validated, and ideally, offered funds for things like binders, shapewear, and clothing that is affirming, in addition to hair and makeup for those who are interested. Ideally, sessions will lead to a sense of gender euphoria and knowing they are supported in the queer community.

Photography services are donated by Youthphoria founder Shannon Collins, a queer, nonbinary photographer based in the Philadelphia suburbs with over 12 years of professional experience.

Youthphoria is funded by mutual aid. Our queer vendors are being paid from the mutual aid fund. We are not a 501c3 and because of this, donations to Youthphoria are not tax deductible. Our website houses a public spreadsheet of donations and transactions for transparency.

The average cost per individual session is $1030, between styling services, outfit and accessories, and hair and makeup. In order to serve 10 individuals in the next few months, we have to raise $10k and would love the community to participate by donating to this ongoing project.
