Help fundraise to neuter and treat injured cats
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Paul and I am the Founder and Head Volunteer at Candy and Tibby Trust, which is a Stray and Feral Cat rescue based in Wrexham, North East Wales (UK).
Since starting in 2017 we have successfully decreased several feral cat colonies in the Wrexham area by TNR (trap, neuter and rehoming). But since 2020 (covid pandemic) new colonies have started again with unneutered and unwanted cats which are fighting and breeding several litters a year. Each cat trapped for neutering from each colony are always checked for a microchip (sadly only a handful are microchipped to be reunited them with their worried owners). The overall majority of these cats are unwanted unneutered pet cats who have been left to fend for themselves.
We're very worried for the months ahead due to the amount of cases of cats needing help and the ongoing crisis of unneutered and injured stray cats that we are alerted too daily within the Wrexham area.
Our volunteer run rescue relies on donations of cat food and donations towards neutering under the continuous pressure of trying to find ways to help all these cats in our area and rehome them.
We always advocate the various discounted neutering schemes for owners on low income/pension/benefits to take up on but these schemes seem to be now coming to an end.
