Help Laid Off Daycare Teachers in Minnesota

Hello!

In the wake of Covid-19, our center director Danielle is looking at temporarily laying off over half the staff. As you may know, unemployment may cover 50% of lost wages, but we know this will be a hardship on teachers and their families, especially during this uncertain time.

Families that choose to keep children home to minimize Covid-19 spread are receiving tuition refunds beginning next week, so we are planning to make a weekly donation as a token of appreciation and support for as long as this epidemic lasts. New Horizon has been like a second home to my 2 kids for the past 4+ years.

I will work with Danielle to make sure staff that is affected by layoffs will have access to funds donated through this account.  Every dollar raised will go directly to support the staff of New Horizon.

Some of these teachers are also students. Some are single moms. Let's band together to take care of them, the way they have taken care of our little ones.
