Help furnish our Build a Miracle Family's Home

Build a Miracle as had a huge impact on the way I view, live, and value life. Since making our first trip down with BAM in seventh grade, my family and I have made several other trips, and lead many of our friends to do the same. Going down to the border, walking across, and taking the bus ride to the build site will forever be ingrained in my mind. It is such a raw experience to see the vast difference in not only homes, landscape, infrastructure, etc... but also the environment and the conditions that the families are living in. I already knew how lucky I was to live in such a beautiful place, and to be so fortunate thanks to my parents hard work in life, but this trip gave me an entirely different perspective. Meeting Julianne and Chris and seeing the impact they made on the local community in Tijuana made me want to do more. My parents have sponsored a family of our own now, and for my service project, I figured what better to do than raise the money for the furniture in the home? We go to Tijuana in a couple of weeks to mix and pour the foundation and will complete and paint the home on April 16t. I can't wait to see the excited faces wen we arrive. I encourage anyone who donates to look into making a trip of your own, or joining us on ours! It is something you will never forget!

More information about Build A Miracle: Build a Miracle provides homes and educational opportunities in Tijuana's impoverished communities. Families that receive homes are expected to do 500 hours of community service and most stay involved, helping build home for others and participating in other Build a Miracle programs indefinitely. The two Build a Miracle Community Centers serves free of charge over 200 people per week offering an accredited Adult Education program, academic subjects, vocational training, tutoring and much more.
