Hi everyone!

My name is Gabriella Then, and I am a professional golfer playing out of Southern California. I turned professional in 2017 and have been playing on the Symetra Tour and mini-tours. Last December, I won the Ladies European Tour Qualifying School. With full status on the European Tour, I am looking to help fund my 2022 golf season.

A bit about me..

I started playing golf at the age of 5. And after a successful junior golf career, I earned a scholarship to the University of Southern California.

Immediately after graduation, I turned professional in June 2017. It was an adjustment for the first couple of years—balancing finding sponsors, scheduling travel, and managing finances (not to mention playing good golf).

In 2019, I struggled on tour. I played Stage 1 of LPGA Q-school and missed moving to the next stage by 1 stroke. At that point, I had no tour status and was questioning the next move.

With missing Q-school and COVID-19 happening back-to-back, my golf career seemed to be quickly fading. I realized I was burnt out from the game that once brought me more joy than anything.

I took over a year away from golf. Spent time with loved ones. Even started a job outside of sports. But I soon realized that I would regret not giving my childhood dream one more shot.

So, in the spring of 2021, I fully committed to playing professionally again.

It was make or break.

With no status on any major tour, I worked my way up playing mini tour events again. After such a long hiatus, I feared my game might not be competitive. But in 4 months, I won 3 events.

I also finished top 5 on the Women’s All-Pro Tour money list. Most importantly, I regained my passion for the game and my love for competing!

Last fall, I decided to try qualifying for the Ladies European Tour, which takes place in Spain. After competing for two long weeks, I won.

Now, with full status on a major tour, I will start the 2022 season in March, traveling to Saudi Arabia and then South Africa. I will then follow the Tour throughout Europe for the rest of the year.

To begin a worldwide tour on my own is daunting. But I know I will have great supporters along the way.
