Help Gabe Through Recovery of Major Surgery

We are raising funds for our dear friend and Community Member, Gabe Hargrove. As many of you know, Gabe is currently recovering from a surgery and is about to have a more significant, potentially life-changing surgery in the coming months. After conferring with his medical team, much self-reflection, and listening to his body's wisdom, Gabe has decided to go through with a triple fusion neurosurgery to address and correct his ongoing chronic neck pain.

As a result of being assaulted by two men, unprovoked, several years ago, Gabe’s life was forever changed when his spine - especially his neck, was permanently injured. Consequently, he’s been dealing with serious, often debilitating chronic pain. Gabe’s recent orthopedic surgery addressing a damaged ulnar nerve in his left arm earlier in January, has been a slow recovery process and not without complications. Undergoing this kind of experience, this many times, is courageous, and Gabe needs our support throughout this process.

Most of Gabe’s medical bills will be covered, however, not all will be. Due to his inability to work in any capacity to support himself financially, or to fully care for himself during this time, bills are continuing to pile up. Additionally, Gabe suffered a house fire in December and his ADU burned down. Less than a week later, his car was broken into, and almost everything was stolen. Gabe is currently three (3) months behind with rent & bills, in addition to all the unexpected medical expenses he has incurred. This is why we are raising funds for Gabe—so that he can receive the best care and quality of life possible alongside his surgical procedure and everything that comes with that. Any amount is appreciated to give Gabe and his loved ones’ peace of mind and his body’s best chance of recovery.

Gabe brings much light into the world and is loved by many friends, family, and the communities that he is a part of and active in and his gifts are many.
