Help Gail & Rusty with Medical Bills and Meds

Gail Whittaker is a stellar employee (the manager of our Galleria mall location) at Mosaic Makers Collective. She is a firecracker - the hardest worker - and compassionate. We love her dearly, so here we are, fundraising to help her after an unexpected and super stressful weekend.

 

On the night of Thursday, Sept 30th Gail rushed her husband Rusty to the ER - he was having chest pains. Doctors confirmed that COVID vaccinated Rusty - while on his way to the ER, and during his stay at the hospital - had 5 blood clots in his heart and lungs, 2 pulmonary embolisms, and about a dozen heart attacks: all happened because he was COVID-19 positive. We are VERY lucky Rusty is still alive (doctors say were he not vaccinated, he would not have made it) - his survival here was simply miraculous. Rusty was admitted to the hospital where he stayed for a few nights, then sent home with some critical prescriptions.

 

Because of a change in jobs, Gail and Rusty did NOT have health insurance at the time of the ER visit and hospitalization. They are predicting medical bills between $60k and $80k, and one of his much-needed medications alone will cost them $548 a month.
