Help Gala get dental surgery

Hello!

My name is Jen, Gala's foster parent in Glasgow. Gala was rescued by Podencos In Need (PINS). They cover all medical care of the dogs in foster so we're seeking to raise some funds for the dental operation and help with the constant outgoings and medical expenses they face as a dog rescue charity.

Here's a little bit about the beautiful Gala...

She's a 5 year old Galgo from Spain, who just touched down in Scotland a few weeks ago. She is currently in foster though is on the lookout for her permanent adoptive home.

Around this time last year, at the end of the hunting season, Gala was surrendered by the hunter along with 8 other dogs. She narrowly avoided being killed by her owner before PINS agreed to step in and help get them all rehomed.

When she arrived we could tell there were some issues in the back of her mouth and a quick look revealed very swollen, red and bleeding gums and black rotting teeth. She will undoubtedly be in a lot of pain but despite this has built up a trusting relationship with us already. She is adjusting so well to life at home and we can't wait for her to have this operation done so she can be pain free.

How will the funds be used?

Gala urgently requires dental surgery where she will likely have multiple teeth removed. She will be kept at the vet all day on Friday 7th of February and will have the extractions carried out under anaesthetic. We've paid £76.47 for the original consultation and pre-op medication, and we've been quoted approximately £473 for the extractions.
