Help Gale Get to Ohio

My name is Emery and I'm fundraising to help get my partner, Gale, to be able to move ASAP to where I live in Ohio. Gale is a disabled person with MS, living in an unsafe situation, in an area that is not equipped to meet their medical needs. Ohio has better medical care and social supports, and a much lower cost of living, compared to Alaska where Gale is living now.

 

These funds are primarily for moving expenses, and the current figure for how much we think we'll need is a guesstimate, based on trying to figure out travel arrangements. Gale owns a van that should be suitable for moving, but it needs a checkup before being ready for a cross-country road trip, and will of course need gas along the way. Ideally we would like for Gale to be able to stop for the night at motels along the way, too. Alternately, if the van is not viable, this fundraiser will go towards getting plane tickets in order to safely get Gale and two cats onto a flight.
