Gale Wittman's Cancer Treatment Expenses
Donation protected
In September our dad/grandpa, Gale Wittman, was diagnosed with sarcomatoid carcinoma, a rare and aggressive form of bladder cancer. He was referred to the University of Minnesota for treatment; this is over 300 miles from his home.
Because his cancer does not respond to traditional treatment options, he will have his bladder, prostate and associated lymph nodes removed on Tuesday, October 20. During his week-long hospital stay, our mother (Jo Wittman) will be staying in a studio apartment near the hospital. All of this is unexpected and has happened in a very short amount of time.
The testing, treatment, and (future) follow up costs (including numerous long-distance trips, the surgery and hospital stay, lodging accommodations, medications, etc.) will be challenging at a time when neither Dad or Mom are able to work. We are asking for contributions to help offset these unanticipated expenses.
We are incredibly thankful for your love and support.
