Help Gar After the Eaton Fire
Donation protected
We are organizing this fundraiser for our dad, Gar, who recently lost his home in the tragic Eaton Fire in Altadena, California.
Who We Are
My name is Blake and Gar is my father; I’m creating this campaign to help him recover from the devastating loss of his home and belongings in the Eaton Fire.
Altadena has been more than just a place to live for Gar—it's been home. For the past two decades, he has been a part of this wonderful community. As a skilled contractor, Gar has always been dedicated to helping others with their homes. His work has left a lasting impact, and now he's determined to recommit himself to rebuilding Altadena and other communities after this tragedy.
Despite losing his own home and belongings, Gar is already planning to help his neighbors rebuild and recover, just as he's done throughout his career. But first, he needs our support to get back on his feet.
How the Funds Will Be Spent
We are seeking to raise funds to assist Gar after this tragedy. These funds will assist with needs that might not be fully covered by other sources of aid.
Any money raised will go directly to Gar to cover these expenses. We will not be managing any funds or taking any money; every donation will go straight to Gar.
Gar’s Commitment to Rebuilding the Community
Even as he faces this personal loss, Gar remains dedicated to his community. He is determined to recommit himself to rebuilding Altadena, using his skills to help frame houses, improve sustainability through environmental landscaping, and install solar panels for those in need. Your support will not only help Gar recover but also allow him to contribute to the recovery of others impacted by the fire.
Gar has always been there for others in their time of need, and now it's our turn to help him. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a difference in helping Gar move forward. If you're unable to donate, sharing this campaign with your friends and family would mean the world to us.
Thank you for your kindness and support for our dad during this incredibly difficult time. Together, we can help Gar rebuild his life and stay connected to the community he's called home for so many years.
With love,
Blake, Dillon, & Madison
UPDATE FROM GAR!
"Some good news, my son Dillon saved my dad's '72 GMC. He bought it brand new as a 3/4 ton camper special. Very rare!
When I was 8 years old, it had a rack on it and my dad would drive around the ranch and I would ride along in the bed hanging on the rack.
It's completely restored and at the ranch where it belongs.
Coolest dad ever."
