Hello, my name is Jessica Jennings. This is the story of my poor cousin, Garrett Jones, who lost his whole world in one day.
Background:
They were best friends, Brittany and Garrett. Garrett knew the moment he met Brittany he was going to marry her, he called it "a gut feeling."
She was his first and only true love.
After dating for a few years, Garrett saved up 3 months pay from his job at PWC and bought a ring.
He proposed to Brittany at the Biltmore Mansion, in Asheville, NC.
,...........
They married on October 20, 2018.
Brittany wanted more than anything to be a wife and mother. They talked about the day when they would have a family. Finally, they received the news that a bundle of joy was on the way.
Their baby, Kadence Marie, was due March 17, 2022, on St. Patrick’s Day.
The Terrible Day:
On January 9th, Garrett's life would change forever.
The day was going just like any other. Garrett and Brittany were sitting in their living room, watching TV.
One moment, Garrett is flipping through the channels, talking to Brittany. The next moment, his beautiful wife is having a seizure on the living room floor.
Brittany had a very bad seizure and went into cardiac arrest. After a very long ride with the paramedics working hard to save her, Brittany died at Cape Fear Valley Hospital.
The doctors immediately delivered their baby girl by emergency c-section.
Garrett and Brittany’s beautiful baby girl, Kadence Marie, was born January 9, 2022 weighing 3lbs 0.9 oz.
Little Kadence tried so hard, but it was not to be.
She took her last breath on January 10, 2022 not even a day old.
Aftermath:
Garrett’s whole world is gone.
He is grieving for the love of his life and the baby girl they both wanted so much.
