Help Garry and Matt stay housed

Our dear friend Garry Brown's mom passed away and he needs help making ends meet. As most of you know, last year Garry lost his sister and his nephew Matt lost both parents in one weekend, as Matt's father also died. Garry has been single parenting to Matt while also caring for his mother. In addition to all the loss Garry and Matt have had to bear, without his sister's and now his mother's social security income, Garry is struggling to keep up with his rent and other expenses - and that doesn't even take into account the expenses he'll have associated with his mother's passing. Garry doesn't want to uproot Matt during this time of grief, compounded by a difficult school year, and wants to provide as much stability as he can for Matt. Garry needs help staying in his home for the remainder of the school year.

Garry gives so much of his time, talent, heart, and soul to the community. He brings a sense of humor and warm, infectious smile to everyone he meets. And he never asks for anything in return. Even as he pushes through the pain of these terrible losses, he remains strong for Matt, and still has a smile for others.

UPDATE: We reached the initial goal in less than 12 hours. What a testament to the light that Garry brings to the world.
