Help Gary Albrecht

My name is Ramon M. Benavides,  I am creating a Go-Fund-Me account for the benefit of my good friend Mr. Gary Albrecht to improve his quality of life, and remodel my home so that he can live with me in Florida until he goes to heaven...That's a long time from now!!

Gary is a 53-year-old wheelchair man bound due to Cerebral Palsy at birth and is incredibly unique. He is loved and supported by his family and admired by all that know him. He needs special accommodations for all aspects of his life, such as beds, lifts, wheelchairs, vehicles, and modified homes.

Two years ago, his loving and caring 85-year-old mother, Frances, passed away. His father, Herbert, is currently 90 years old, and they have been the sole providers his entire life. Many do not know that Gary was adopted and when his parents discovered the challenges that he would have, the adoption agency offered to exchange him for another baby.  Of course, Herbert and Frances' love would not falter-they already adored him, and the eternal paternal bond formed in God's Love.

Herbert realizes that he too will pass to heaven and is worried that Gary may not have the life he once had in Florida. His 65-year-old sister in Ohio loves Gary, and she and her husband adore him dearly. They, too, are realizing that Gary is happiest in Florida because he has greater mobility without consideration of environmental and geographical limitations. In other words, he cannot get around as quickly in rural Ohio rather than in rural Florida.

As we all know, life brings many challenges to an average person, but what you may not know is that a person with special needs has challenges that can or may be insurmountable. Herbert confided in me his distress of not having a good plan in place to ensure his son can happily thrive in Florida when he dies. Therefore, I approached the family and suggested to create a new living arrangement to support my best friend.

I offered the family for Gary to live with me. My home will need significant modification and renovation with a 30 year or greater commitment to Gary and his special needs. I am committing my life, land, and home to him until the death of either of us. Of course, this is not a frivolous decision. It is a serious as life itself, but to me, it is a natural evolution of humanity and helping another in need as I have done so countless times in the past.

The goal is to raise at least $100,000.00 for the planning, design review, and construction renovations needed to create an automated, loving, and peaceful living environment that Gary deserves.

The goal is to accomplish this campaign in 90 days or less and begin all phases of the project starting now.
