Hello
My name is Gary McGrath and I am a professional British Freediving athlete and coach. I am currently ranked as one of the UK's and world's deepest divers, I have a personal best of 111m in the constant weight discipline.
My recent freediving achievements have secured me an invitation to this year's Vertical Blue competition, the most prestigious Freediving event in the world. Held in Long Island, Bahamas, this competition, known as the Wimbledon of Freediving, is an elite invitation-only event that is the most covered Freediving competition in the world.
The event will be covered by the ‘Diveeye’ underwater drone allowing live HD footage of freedivers to be broadcast across the world.

It has been my ambition to compete in this prestigious event for more than a decade. This year I'm at a place in my freediving career where I can achieve something big at the competition of my dreams.
..And that's the easy part!
Unfortunately, British Freediving athletes are self-funded. Training and competition costs are substantial.
So, I'm swallowing my pride and asking for a bit of help through crowdfunding.
The estimated budget is £10,000. This amount will help me cover competition costs (Full time training flight, fees, car rental, food and accommodation) and training in location beforehand - which is an important factor in getting the very most out of the competition.
For Corporate clients I can offer exposure at a really exciting sports event for your brand or products, logos on equipment that will be seen worldwide, speaking engagements, breath workshops, and social media content. Please get in touch to discuss opportunities to partner with me 100m below the surface!
Any donations, big or small will not only go towards the financial challenge of this journey but its the support and most importantly faith that family, friends and freedivers around the world have been showing me. This is what is going to get me to dive deep. It's the vote of confidence that nudges me further along the road to achieve my dream and really see what I'm made of.
Thankyou so much for taking the time to check out my page. Any help in any form is gratefully received.
