Our very dear friend Herb Bressack aka Gaura Hari das, a long time member of the Alachua community has recently had some major life changes and challenges.

As of 12/15/19, due to a diagnosis of Transverse Myelitis, an autoimmune disorder, he has lost the use of
his legs and is wheelchair-bound.
               He needs many adjustments to his home, including a wheelchair ramp, doors widened, shower
and toilet facilities remodeled, a special chair for wheeling into the shower, as well as changes to his kitchen, to name a few.

Regular physical therapy and ongoing medical treatment are needed as well.

He has always been a kind and gentle soul and loved by everyone who has known him.
His nature has been to always help others whenever possible.

He's always been self-reliant and financially self-sufficient but he is now unable to work.
