Help Gaza Family Rebuilding their Peaceful Lives

Haneen Shammala here, currently studying in sweden.
First of all, I wish you and your beloved ones a happy and peaceful new year.
Unfortunately, we – as a Gaza family - are starting this year with a heavy heart during this incredibly hard time we ever lived. Instead of celebrating a happy new year in our warm house, my family is displaced in a tent in Rafah city, facing unhumanitarian conditions.
My family in Gaza lost their home after it has been bombed. The entire family which includes: My father, mother, three brothers, one sister and two cats, are now completely homeless and under the continuous threat of death, injury or diseases. The whole neighborhood in which my family lived is now completely shattered, the building where our flat is located, is now reduced to rubble.
Hearing my parents' words and my brothers' crying after this immense loss, was such a heart-wrenching for me, as all of my fathers' hard- earned savings were invested in our destroyed home.
We haven’t only lost our home, we have also lost our sweet memories, celebrations, precious gifts and beautiful small details of our happy daily life. The family is now displaced and suffering from hunger, thirst and lack of medical care. My young brothers had witnessed destruction and death all around them which they may never recover.

Despite the hardships my family faces, my parents continue to show persistent determination to rebuild a new home starting from scratch. Therefore, I am launching this GoFundMe campaign with strong believe that every donation, no matter how much, will certainly help my family to survive this tragic crisis and will contribute to help them to get the basic needs from clothes, shelter, support as well as the hope needed during this time of despair.
I have set a goal of 100,000$. These funds will accomplish the following:
• Cover the expensive costs of re-building a new home, get furniture and clothes. The vast majority of the funds will be utilized for this.
• Get a temporary warm shelter to stay in, instead of the tent they are living during this cold winter.
• Cover some of their basic needs from food, water, and medical needs.
