Help rebuild the life of the Abu Miri family

We're rallying support for Jehad K. Miri and his family in the midst of an unimaginably excruciating ordeal. Before the war, they lived a life of dignity and security. Now, they endure the relentless trauma of being displaced multiple times under constant bombardment. Currently displaced in Deir Al-Balah, they've lost everything in the ongoing airstrikes, including their home. Moreover, the threat of death looms overhead, compounding their already dire situation. Imagine the psychological toll of never feeling safe, of constantly fleeing for your life, never knowing if your next shelter will hold.

On top of the daily fear and instability, they face severe health challenges. Jehad's family has suffered from repeated sicknesses exacerbated by the dire conditions — skin diseases, infections, and illnesses linked to dirty water and overcrowded, unhygienic living conditions. Basic necessities like clean water and sanitation are luxuries currently in Gaza. More specifically, his brothers Mohammad and Hani suffer from asthma and rely on inhalers, but their condition is especially difficult given the challenges of war and displacement. As for their mother, she has undergone multiple surgeries due to infections, and her immune system is very weak. She cannot endure much and needs strong nutrition, medication, and care. His father has diabetes and high blood pressure, and he also needs his medications. The food he requires is not available, and even if it is, it is very expensive.

Your contribution will provide crucial support for the sustenance of their livelihood, whether it be in providing for their current survival or future transportation. The funds you guys give ensure that the family of 7 is able to provide for themselves considering the extreme food shortage and scarcity Gaza is currently undergoing.

They will be traveling via Egyptian group “Ya Hala”. All of the money will be sent to their relatives in Egypt to help with transaction fees for the family, or to help with basic necessities for survival in Gaza.

Please note that they've also lived in the north for a while after the aggression began and have seen death and cruelty beyond imagination in realtime. This is a reality for many Gazans unfortunately.

Recently, as of November 2024, the family has been displaced yet again, this time into a tent. It’s unbearably cold at this time of the year and the family needs to be able to provide themselves with clothes, blankets, and other means to keep themselves warm.
