Help George,Gloria and Their Family Rebuild After being displaced.

Hi, my name is Sasha a local resident of Altadena. Who came across George and Gloria's family and was so touched by their story that I wanted to help them. My Instagram is @sasha_darling, I’m writing to ask for your help for an incredible family who has dedicated their lives to serving others but now finds themselves in urgent need.

George is a true community hero. He has spent years working with at-risk youth, offering gang intervention, court advocacy, jail support, and life skills training for young people aged 14 to 25. He’s helped countless individuals break the cycle of violence and find hope and purpose. His wife, Gloria, is equally remarkable. A former school administrator in the San Fernando valley, she was the heart of her school—organizing, problem-solving, and ensuring everything ran smoothly. Now a stay-at-home mom, she continues to pour her energy into raising their four children.

Their family story is one of love and resilience. George and Gloria adopted two children who were being neglected by their biological parents, giving them a safe and loving home. Later, they welcomed two biological children of their own, creating a warm, supportive household.

But tragedy struck when their affordable rental home in Altadena—where they had affordable rent—was damaged in the Eaton Canyon fire. FEMA has deemed the house unlivable, forcing the family to leave. With skyrocketing rents in the area, finding a new home near George’s work and the children's school feels almost impossible.

George is a helper, someone who never hesitates to give everything he has to his community. Asking for help is not easy for him, but this family of six urgently needs support. They need to stay in the area so George can continue his vital work with at-risk youth while maintaining stability for their children.
