Help George Walk Again: Support His Recovery
Donation protected
Hi all, it’s Chelsey. Many of you know and love our dog, George. If you know us, you know that he is our baby. For those of you who don’t know him, he’s a 5-year-old terrier/cattle dog mix who we lovingly refer to as the chaos bringer in our house.
On Friday, 3/21, we noticed that George was in pain and couldn’t get his legs comfortable. We visited our regular vet, who believed he had a herniated disc or muscle strain that we hoped to manage with pain medicine and crate rest. But unfortunately, Saturday morning, George was suddenly much worse, as he could not use his back legs at all. We rushed him to the emergency vet at Green Acres, and despite extensive testing, we still don’t have answers and George still doesn’t have use of his back legs.
As we wait for some test results, we know tomorrow he will have a neuro consult to see if he needs an MRI and/or surgery. So far, his hospitalization has cost us almost $10,000. George is young and up until this point has been incredibly healthy and active, and Ben and I are hoping to raise some funds to ease the financial burden while we try to find some answers for our boy.
Thank you,
Chelsey and Ben Cliff
