July 11, 2024: The world lost a little sparkle yesterday, so please be extra sparkly and kind. My mother Georgia passed away peacefully surrounded by family July 10, 2024. She would be in awe of how many people care and think of her, thank you for keeping her with us in your thoughts. "If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever."

July 9, 2024: Hello! My name is Adele :) I am the amazing Georgia Laughrey's daughter. I am caring for my mother, she is currently in hospice at home and her battle with cancer is coming to a close likely in the next few days.

You may know my mom from Safeway in SSF, CA or Roberts Market in Woodside, CA. Or, maybe you know her from Blue Oyster Cult band days or one of her gigs when she was an accountant in the 90's. Maybe you know her from Harley Davidson HOG days, or when she attended Mercy High School or SF State. Perhaps you met when her kids attended All Souls, Martin Elementary, Parkway, El Camino HS, or UC Berkeley. Maybe you're a long-time friend/family or you'd only met recently! We welcome all friends and acquaintances to celebrate her.

She has fought cancer since 2011 and continues to fight to the end. If you know my mom, you know how creative, kind, silly, sweet, unique, quirky... just how much we need more people like her in the world!

Mom is sorry to ask; I am coordinating fundraising for her memorial/funeral services which are around $15,000. She has chosen Duggan's Serra Mortuary in Daly City (the same location we used for my father). She will be buried with my father at Holy Cross. If we reach past our goal, we can applying any additional funds to pay her creditors, as her estate will have some outstanding debt from medical bills and raising us as a single-mom. She did her best and we've been through so much together.
