Help Nabory's Pump Dream - My Journey

Hello, I'm Nabory, an 11-year-old girl with dreams as big as the sky. I live in Kilkenny, Ireland, and two things light up my world – Camogie and Impressionist painting, they're my passions, my escapes, my everything.

But there's a twist in my story – Type 1 Diabetes. It's like a cloud that sometimes blocks the sun. When I'm out on the Camogie field, I should be chasing the ball, not worrying about my blood sugar. And when I'm in front of my canvas, I should be lost in the world of Impressionism, not the world of insulin injections, glucose shots and it's even scarier when I have to deal with both hypo and hyperglycemia.

Hypo, where my blood sugar drops too low, leaves me feeling shaky, weak, and scared. Hyperglycemia, when it's too high, makes me feel tired, thirsty, and sometimes even sick.

I have some news that's been hard to accept. Instead of getting the insulin pump I desperately need this year, I've been told that I'll have to wait for 2-3 long years due to a backlog in the system. It's heartbreaking to think about the things I'll miss out on during that time.
