Help Get a New Van for Tristan!

Hi! My name is Saige and I am fundraising for my good friend Tristan. Lets help him reach his goal for a new wheelchair van so he can get around safely and continue his annual trips that he looks forward to all year! Here is his story.

"My name is Tristan, I am 29 years old and I have Muscular Dystrophy. I have been in a wheelchair since I was five years old and due to the disease being progressive I require 24 hour care from a team of eight caregivers. Due to this I keep very busy as an employer and I don't get much free time but one of my favourite things to do every summer is to go on a road trip for some much needed respite. I have been to Seattle twice, Alberta once and the Interior of BC several times but unfortunately my van is getting older and has over 350,000 km so I am not comfortable doing any more road trips anymore as my van broke down 2 years ago in Revelstoke. It was extremely stressful as I am on a ventilator and have many other medical needs and I nearly had to go to the emergency department at the hospital. Thankfully we were able to get a motel room and a mechanic late on a Friday night but after this ordeal I have not attempted another road trip as it was quite frightening. I am starting a GoFundMe to purchase a new wheelchair van so I can continue to do my road trips that I look forward to every year so much without the stress of another breakdown. Thank you!"
