Support Chris in His Time of Need

Hi, my name is Zack, and I’m Chris’s cousin. As many of you know, Chris moved to Cambodia to pursue his dream of teaching English. On February 17th, a friend of his asked for help with dropping off some packages at the post office. Being the kind and generous person he is, Chris agreed. Unfortunately, on February 27th, Chris was arrested and falsely charged with drug trafficking.

Anyone who knows Chris knows that he would never be involved in anything like this. If he had any idea about the contents of those packages, he would have refused to get involved. We are heartbroken by this situation and just want to bring Chris home safely.

We are currently working with lawyers in Cambodia, but the legal process is going to be very expensive. The retainer alone costs $5,000, and Chris will also need funds while in prison for daily necessities like clothes, toothpaste, and food. The prison system in Cambodia is vastly different from what we are used to in Canada. Inmates are often required to pay for basic things like their cell, utilities, and even meals.

We are reaching out to friends, family, and anyone who might be willing to help. Any contribution, big or small, will go directly to covering legal fees and supporting Chris through this difficult time. We just want to bring him home and ensure he has the resources he needs while he navigates this challenging situation.
