Help get Connor and Jordan back home to Canada
Donation protected
Our good friends Connor and Jordan began a vacation in Leon, Nicaragua this December.
On December 27th, while returning from a hike, Connor was involved in a motorcycle vs pedestrian accident.
The pedestrian was a female police officer and was in critical condition but has since pulled through and is in hospital with a broken ankle and head injuries.
Connor is in good health but is in custody at the police remand in Leon. Jordan is responsible for bringing meals to Connor - otherwise, he does not get to eat.
In order for Connor to be released, there is $10,000 USD of mounting expenses.
With Jordan’s help, the family has been able to locate a trustworthy interpreter who has helped establish a rapport with the victim and family.
Currently, we are awaiting a trial for January 16th.
Connor is to be moved from police remand to the local penitentiary on the 2nd. This is still in Leon, Nicaragua. We are hoping this will allow Jordan to visit.
We are now regrouping and are trying to find new legal representation for the next court date.
Jordan is staying in Nicaragua to assist with everything until Connor is free. Your financial assistance will help with Connor’s release as well as bills for new flights and living while Jordan and Connor remain in Nicaragua.
