Help get Elise to Ball Arena for playoffs

Hi, I am Christy, mom to my 12 year old special needs daughter Elise and am asking for your help to get us from Battleford, Saskatchewan to Denver CO to cheer on the Colorado Avalanche during playoffs.

Elise has a special passion for Hockey & her favorite hockey boy Alex Newhook! She has followed his career since her first night meeting him in spring of 2019 while playing for BCHL Grizzlies, then on to Boston College, his call up to the Colorado Eagles & his every Avalanche game.

Elise was born at only 2lbs, at 26 week gestation, she has fought since her first breath. She was trached at 4 months old due to paralyzed vocal cords & spent her first 169 days in hospital. We have spent a large portion of her life in ICU beds, under 1:1 nursing care. My daughter has spent her entire life fighting her own medical battles, travelling to doctors appointments, therapies, tests, being airlifted on life support, trialing new medications & so much more but her love of hockey has provided her with a sense of belonging, of team, a support not found anywhere outside a rink & a social connect like nothing else. Her physical & intellectual delays do not matter at the rink! They melt as she steps through those doors. She is confident & knows whats going on, who is where & who her favorite boys are!

Seeing her light up while cheering, or high fiving her boys, or banging on the glass this girl lives for hockey!! Watching her glow as she experiences it all is better than anything else in this world & she deserves to live her best life.

We recently, with special Thanks to our amazing friends got experience her first NHL game & she is “hook’d” (pun intended). Now she is asking if there is a game tonight we can go to.. every 10 minutes.. she is persistent.

I would love nothing more than to give her an electrified playoff home game experience at Ball Arena cheering her biggest fan on (Alex Newhook) but this is out of my budget. Elise & I live on a small sheep/goat farm in rural Saskatchewan & have no means to afford such a huge wish. Flights alone will be almost $2000, hotel, taxis, meals & tickets I am only approximating costs of this experience, but if any funds are remaining, I will be donating those to Make a Wish Foundation, to help

someone else live their fullest life.
