Help get Elizabeth back in front of a classroom

Donation protected
Dear friends,
We are writing to tell you about a young Kenyan woman, Elizabeth, who, in recent years, we have supported to realise her dream of becoming a teacher. Elizabeth is the daughter of Zakayo, who looks after my parents in Kenya.
In the last week, we have heard that Elizabeth is now facing a significant health crisis that could have drastic repercussions on her future. As a result of an earlier operation when she was younger, Elizabeth has osteomyelitis, an extremely painful infection of the bone. This has been unresponsive to antibiotics and she is now in need of an urgent operation. Without this, there is a strong possibility she will need her leg amputated. Of course, this would have a very significant impact on both her professional and personal life. Something we do not want to contemplate or allow to happen.
The operation is going to cost around £3000 including some of the post operative care.  Elizabeth, Zakayo and ourselves hope that operation will occur this weekend. There is no free health care in Kenya and funds are needed urgently to pay for this.
We would be very grateful if you would donate what you can, however small, to help us get Elizabeth the treatment she so desperately needs and get her back into the classroom as soon as possible.
On behalf of Elizabeth and all who care for her, we thank you for your generosity.
