Help get Family Vehicle Repaired

Hello everyone! It's Dani and Dez, spreading the word about our latest fundraising effort to get our family vehicle repaired and back on the road!

As many of our friends, family and supporters know, our family has faced alot of challenges since our displacement from St. Paul in 2019.

Upon return "home" Dez was an essential worker for the Tribal senior center through the lockdown in 2020. Later having to resign to recover his eyesight after a covid infection, as well as other disability related conditions that will need further surgeries. We share income from Patreon writing and art/jewelry sales but the income isn't nearly enough to supplement the cost of living in this economy.

We largely rely on commmunity resources and the kindness of mutual aid networks to get by.

Our next mutual aid ask is a large goal. Our vehicle has been out of commission since the tires needed replacement in 2019. Other large engine components have also needed to be replaced since this vehicle has been on several cross country trips. We ask for assistance in getting the needed repairs so we can revive this vehicle rather than purchasing a new one. Especially since so many vehicles are built with computer chips rather than mechanical parts. We would really prefer to continue holding on to this vehicle so we can get manual repairs, rather than always having to take it into the dealership to get serviced.

This mutual need ask is a bit time sensitive, as having our own vehicle is much needed and would help reduce wear and tear on the vehicles of family that we borrow. We're also hoping to begin planning for mandatory summer visitation plans and other big life events like getting married that have been prolonged by this pandemic.
